Story of a Champion

Hi! My name is Francis. I have asthma, which means sometimes it's hard for me to breathe. But I love football so much! Sometimes during matches, I have to stop and use my inhaler. I couldn't keep swimming because of asthma, so I had to stop, and that made me sad.

But guess what? I didn’t let asthma stop me from dreaming big. I worked really hard in my football team despite having fractured my leg this year, and I’m super excited to share that I became the highest goal scorer two years in a row for Hucknall Warriors! ⚽🏆

I hope this brings a smile to lots of kids like me!😊

I want every kid with asthma to know they can do amazing things too.

The doctors and nurses at Nottingham Children's Hospital have been so kind and helpful to me.

With help from my brother Emmanuel, who was saved by an air ambulance, and my sister Claire, who loves helping the planet, and I decided to do something special to give back.
